Senior Presentation Designer

Our in-house design studio in London plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality presentations, digital, print and multimedia materials to support our clients' internal and external communications needs.

Our London-based design studio has an opportunity for a senior level presentation designer with a solid foundation of graphic design experience to lead on presentation design within our in-house Studio team. We’re looking for someone with solid experience of working in a business-to-business setting, who can get their head around some complex healthcare-related content, and who enjoys creative data visualization and content curation. As the Senior Presentation Designer at Lumanity, you’ll need brains and creative muscle in equal measures. You’ll be working with our research and consultant teams and getting to grips with scientific and health-related content across a broad range of presentation materials including reports, proposals, objection handlers, sales aids, detailed reports, brand plans and playbooks. Your recommendations will be crucial in creating polished and impactful presentations that help to tell a clear story.

This opportunity offers a flexible hybrid working schedule, in our London office, and the remainder from your home office.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop creative solutions for PowerPoint presentations that effectively deliver complex information in digestible ways across a variety of deliverables within brief and budget
• Be the ‘Presentation Guru’, delivering internal training sessions and acting as point of contact for PowerPoint user queries, working to raise the overall quality of presentations across Lumanity
• Build a small network of external presentation design specialists who can be approached to support the core Studio team during busy periods
• Monitor the volume and value of presentation design projects coming through the Studio and provide high level analysis to Head of Creative Services to inform resource management decisions
• Closely follow client briefs, project manage, and deliver several live jobs at any given time, updating clients and the Studio Resource Manager on their status with respect to timeframes and budget
• Quality check other internal and freelance designers working on presentation projects, providing feedback and direction. Must have the ability to proof your own work and others’ with a very high level of attention to detail
• Collaborate closely with other designers in the Studio, as well as cross-functional teams, internal and external clients
• Bring your experience, creative ideas, and problem-solving skills to provide relevant solutions and valuable input on all the projects that you’re involved with
• As a senior member of the Studio team, contribute to the direction and development of the Studio as a center of excellence, by setting an example of best practice, bringing fresh ideas, and keeping abreast of design trends and emerging technologies

• 4+ years of professional experience in a Senior Designer or Presentation Designer role, within a B2B (business-to-business) environment working on content heavy slide decks, not just pitches!
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint is essential, at both user-level (how to design in PowerPoint) and technical level (having knowledge of settings, creating templates, and working with masters)
• Ability to develop infographics, data visualizations, animation, and interactive navigation within PowerPoint presentations
• Have a strong portfolio including relevant examples of presentation design, as well as other work in a variety of formats that demonstrate creativity, attention to detail, and polish
• Solid working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), as well as broader graphic design experience with other formats including digital, print and multimedia
• Understanding of design principles, typography, hierarchy, layout, color theory, and visual signposting as well as an understanding of the design process
