Our Real World Evidence (RWE) team leverages strategic partnerships and in-house safety, epidemiology, and HEOR expertise along with consulting capabilities to support our clients and solve problems by developing a Real World Evidence strategy, acquiring, assessing, and analyzing data, and demonstrate safety, effectiveness and economic value. Our RWE business is rapidly growing and we are seeking a Business Development Manager to accelerate business forward. As a new and emerging business area, you will have opportunity to shape critical areas of business strategy, offering development, and product positioning. You will be instrumental and raising brand awareness/credibility, contributing to insightful pieces of thought leadership and sales & marketing collateral, and engaging directly with clients in the design of novel RWE solutions that can optimize access to innovative medicines. This role is ideally suited to candidates with a problem solving mentality and an appetite for innovation.   As the Business Development Manager, key responsibilities will include:   Sales Pipeline Management; - Develop client-facing RWE sales & marketing collateral - Support lead generation through client outreach, coordination of conference attendance, leveraging Lumanity connected capabilities and relationships - Develop client-facing proposals and budgets - Progress opportunities through the sales pipeline (e.g., maintain ongoing touchpoints with key client contacts, work with procurement, legal, privacy, and IT teams to ensure appropriate contracting vehicles) - Manage opportunities in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system - Develop sales & revenue reporting based on data from CRM Go-to-market Strategy; - Work alongside the senior team to define the RWE go-to-market strategyExamine opportunities to differentiate, leveraging in-house expertise & capabilities across the Lumanity business to likely include: Safety studies, Drug utilization studies, Comparative effectiveness research, Synthetic controls, Data landscaping, and Integrated evidence planning   - Conduct research into the RWE market (e.g., competitive landscape, market sizing, pricing benchmarks) and test/validate offerings/value proposition - Lead customer segmentation and targeting exercises Data Partnership Management; Act as a key point of contact for data partners, coordinating incoming study requests and outgoing proposals that leverage data from partners   Thought Leadership; As part of increasing Lumanity’s brand in RWE, work with internal thought leaders to identify interesting topics and help develop thought leadership pieces including but not limited to: white papers, abstracts, posters, manuscripts, etc.

As the Business Development Manager, key responsibilities will include:

Qualifications

  • BSc or MSc degree in life sciences or related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in life sciences consulting and/or RWE study delivery
  • Experience in specifying and delivering commercial and go-to-market strategies
  • Deep knowledge of RWE industry, trends and market needs, across both USA and Europe
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
