Responsibilities / Position overview

 We’re looking for an Account Executive who is ideally based in or within commuting distance of Edinburgh who will work within the Client Services team to deliver Advertising and Design projects across a range of channels/formats such as Film, radio, OOH, experiential and digital

 

As an Account Executive within Leith’s Client Services team, you’ll be eager to learn and understand all aspects of a project life cycle. This could be your first job in a creative agency or you could have a year’s experience under your belt and looking for your next move.

 

You’ll thrive on working with talented people to deliver great results for our clients, bringing teams on the journey with you - and be adept at staying on top of the detail and project commercials. We are looking for someone with a proven track record of exceptional client service. Someone who is willing to go the extra mile to exceed client expectations, solutions driven and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Client liaison
    • Preparing and circulating information for the team and clients: weekly status reports plus other reports as designated (week ahead updates, competitor news, results analyses, etc).
    • Preparing for client meetings: arranging diaries and agendas; liasing with to arrange rooms, equipment and hospitality as required.
    • Attending client meetings as required and preparing accurate contact reports within 48 hours of meeting.
    • Helping to ensure that good relationships with colleagues and with clients are maintained.
  • Project management
    • Briefing internal departments and, where specified, external suppliers on requirements and job progress.  As delegated by account team, to include drafting the necessary documentation specified in the agency procedures (Synergist, traffic status, finance WIP etc).
    • Checking jobs as required for accuracy.
    • Checking with other departments and, where specified, external suppliers that deadlines are understood and will be met.
    • Helping account team to keep clients fully informed of project progress.
    • Working with the account team to prepare and maintain production schedules for projects.
  • Financial management
    • Working with account team to prepare fee estimates to clients.
    • Working with account team to prepare production quotations.
    • Ensuring that billing is carried out in timely fashion.

Qualifications

  • Someone who appreciates and demonstrates creativity.
  • A good project manager able to support and deliver multiple projects at one time.
  • Able to meet deadlines and be efficient in the way you work.
  • Be a good people person able to build effective relationships with internal and external audiences.
  • Good creative writing abilities and able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels effectively and confidently.
  • Possess good presentation and persuasion skills.
  • An excellent attention to detail.
  • Happy to get "stuck in" to events at every level. The role sometimes requires weekend/evening and unsociable hours.
  • Show initiative, pro-active, problem-solving
  • An appetite to consult and learn from colleagues
  • Degree level education, in any subject, desirable
  • Be willing to travel within Scotland, UK and internationally. This role includes regular overnight stays.
