Your impact 

 

The Senior Data Manager is a dynamic individual with a strong technical background who is excited to take their career to the next, managerial level. You will be guiding a large transformational project, as we expand the number of healthcare data partners from whom we receive data in a variety of formats and frequencies. These data will be transformed by the team into linked, user-friendly data and provided to two internal stakeholders: an optimisation team, and a research team. Working with data scientists and engineers in the team, you will report to senior leadership on the progress of the project, and collaborate with the internal stakeholders on a regular, ongoing basis, as to the provision of data for their needs.  

 

What you’ll do

 

  • You will develop, maintain and communicate project schedules regarding the variety of healthcare data being ingested, transformed, and shared with internal stakeholders.  

  • You will work with the team to ensure quality checks on healthcare data are completed, implement digital tools in the planning of infrastructure projects, and organize and carry out the transfer of knowledge to internal and external stakeholders, highlighting areas of concern in good time for managerial decision making.  

  • In doing so, you will be responsible for providing the necessary project-specific data accuracy, completeness and coverage reports, as well as methods of appropriate process recording in coordination with the internal stakeholders,  

  • Your interface with senior leadership will include details from project management to the creation of infrastructure planning 

  • You will ensure compliance with the process for procuring healthcare data and evaluate data requests in relation to healthcare data and define service provision plans, taking into account ad hoc requests as well as standard, routine data management needs and economic considerations 

  • You will be involved in the broadening of the types of healthcare data that are included; working with STIZON 

  • You will manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, including negotiating and overseeing contractual obligations to ensure compliance and value delivery. 

  • Play an active role in the RWE Leadership Team 

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned or as specified/agreed in annual objectives. 

Qualifications

About you 

 

You’re someone who cares deeply about data quality and understands the power of well-structured information. You’re driven by curiosity, take pride in clean joins, and thrive in interdisciplinary settings.

 

You likely have:

 

  • 5+ years’ experience in research or a professional data science-driven services organization 

  • PhD or Masters degree in a relevant field (i.e. (e.g. statistics, mathematics, physics, engineering) and/or professional qualification   

  • Knowledge of technology and methodology in the field of structured and unstructured data. 

  • Proficient Analytics Toolkit: R, SPSS, Excel, Git, Python, SQL, Postgres & cloud computing expertise desirable.  

  • Demonstrated knowledge of GDPR requirements and proven experience implementing compliant data management programmes, policies, and processes 

  • Consistently able to apply a range of research methods and demonstrate honed analytics skills 

  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills: Ability to effectively communicate concepts and ideas to technical and non-technical audiences 

  • Solid project management skills: Decisive, persuasive, flexible, analytical and deadline oriented 

  • Client Relationships and Commercial Focus: Maintains a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters cooperation and teamwork
