We are seeking a thoughtful and experienced professional to join our team as Head of Healthcare Data Alliances. In this role, you will focus on strengthening partnerships that support our mission to facilitate secure, compliant, and responsible data exchange within the Dutch healthcare system. You will work closely with healthcare institutions, researchers, and our internal teams to ensure that all partnerships align with strict privacy standards and contribute to the improvement of patient care and scientific research.

 

Your responsibilities will include maintaining and deepening relationships with academic and clinical partners, supporting research initiatives, and ensuring that all activities meet the highest standards of ethical data use, including full adherence to GDPR/AVG regulations. You will be a trusted representative of our platform, helping to create long-term collaborations rooted in transparency, shared purpose, and public trust.

 

Success in this role will be reflected in the establishment and support of sustainable partnerships, effective coordination of research activities, and the proven reinforcement of our reputation for scientific integrity and data stewardship. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare and partnerships, with a deep understanding of the Dutch healthcare landscape and a commitment to responsible innovation.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop new data partnerships and identify win-win solutions for the Dutch healthcare system.
  • Manage and optimize existing partnerships with university medical centers and hospital networks.
  • Coordinate and enable ongoing research and internal activities to meet partner requirements.
  • Navigate complex stakeholder dynamics across academic, commercial, and public sector organizations.
  • Present our capabilities to C-suite executives, research directors, and data governance boards.
  • Enable academic collaborators to generate research publications and develop partnership strategies aligned with leadership goals.

 

Qualifications

Required Education/Skills/Experience:

 

Understand healthcare data system in the Netherlands: Experience optimizing healthcare operations using data. Understanding of Dutch healthcare delivery and financing systems. Laboratory, hospital pharmacy, or clinical operations experience

  • Understand limitations, barriers and compliance and have clear ideas on how this can be navigated 
  • Political acumen: Experience navigating complex healthcare stakeholder environments (hospitals, insurers, regulators, academia) 
  • GDPR/AVG expertise: Deep understanding of Dutch healthcare data governance and privacy regulations 
  • 5+ years in business development, partnerships, or relationship management 
  • 5+ years in healthcare, life sciences, or academic research sectors 
  • Proven track record of securing formal agreements/contracts 
  • Based in the Netherlands with willingness to travel extensively, including some international travel

  • Accountability: Follows through on commitments and agreements. Demonstrates dependability. Takes responsibility for mistakes and missed deadlines. Communicates about progress on commitments.
  • Confidentiality: Applies discretion when handling information and data that is confidential or sensitive in nature, maintains confidentiality, and abides by data-protection laws.
